> QLD PARK DAY TRIP
I am going to a family wedding in Mooloolaba next week and have been granted one day of compassionate leave. I hope to take some pics of some parks we don't have and redo some pics that were taken over 10 years ago. The new parks i am intending to hit are Cooran, Carter Ridge, Sippy Downs and Currimindi. If there are any other parks we don't have on my route or if the parks I have listed don't exist please let me know. Thanks

I will be in Perth so cannot help with the mission / fun, but there would be heaps of parks up that way that I have not been to in a long time, which probably need new pics.
Probably have to check through the park listings for that area and let you know, or have someone more local have a good look at the pics and see what is old / current from all the parks up on the Sunny Coast.
On the other hand, if anyone out west of Brisbane has parks they know of that need updates, I will be in Toowoomba between the 4th to 6th of June and plan to have a whole day on the 6th driving round skating / taking pics and noting locations of parks in that area before heading back to Brisbane.
Potty, not sure if you got my email or not but I sent you some updated pics of Newtown skatepark in Toowoomba and pics of a new park in Jacobs Well.
Anyway, enjoy the skate.
Is the Newtown park actually in Queens Park, just up from Chalk Drive park or is it elsewhere than on the map in the park listing?
One less I have to go to anyway :)
Mark, Newtown is actually approx 7 McGregor St, it's on the corner of the Warrego Highway and McGregor St behind a Red Rooster.
It was a journey to find.

are you sure there is a skatepark in carters ridge? there is nothing out there its in the middle of butt fuck no where. on your way to cooran check out pomona its been updated a couple months ago with a new bank/ledge thing
also I'm pretty sure boardstore just opened up an indoor skatepark in kawana somewhere, sus the store for more details
There is this little street park up abit from maloolaba, I "think" it's sunshine beach but best to ask imgne, he took us there, before it was this sweet little street park it was a rough piece of the devils toilet paper.
Due to a broken leg and ankle issues, I am unable to fly to QLD for the wedding, however I do get to stay home sit on the couch with no sister in-law, wife or kids for 5 days!!!!
Would it be a good time to email you a zillion new park pics to replace all the old ones on the site.
I am sure from looking through some more local parks to here that I had taken newer pics and had them up here or somewhere, but I could be wrong.
The Park Darcy is thinking of there is Pacific Paradise
also wondering potty when your going to update the Gayndah Skatepark?
I just got back from the Toowoomba work trip, so had a day to drive round and skate / take pics of all the parks we knew of in the area there.
List includes:
Chalk Drive
Andrews Street bowl / park (just up the road from Chalk Drive)
Westbrook
Wyreema
Pittsworth
Oakey
Newtown (as well as the micro half pipe behind the park)
There are up to three more parks in the Toowoomba area besides these ones that people have told me about that I have not seen pics of or are not in these listings, which I either found out about later or didn't get time to visit today.
There is an old concrete half pipe near the airport, another old bowl in the middle of a park somewhere out in the suburbs and another park which was not one of these and I don't have any more info about.
I should have the pics sorted in a day or so.
